Cellphone Forensics

The past week I have been head down on a few cellphone forensic jobs.  It has been a huge learning experience for me, and very successful for my clients.  I have lots of notes to write up, but just amazing stuff!

East Coast Super Conference this week

Update your SNORT rules

Snort just updated their rules on the 10th.  So, if you are running Snort, make sure you update them.  If you do not know what Snort is, its a FREE intrusion detection system that will monitor your network for signs of attack. Find out more at: www.snort.org

Web Mail Forensic Tool

Came up with a new idea for a program called the Web Mail Forensic Tool.  This program will allow you to download all of the email from a Yahoo, Hotmail, or Gmail account, and then put it all into a "forensic" report for you.

Still working out on what exactly is in a forensic report for this, but got a great start with it already.  And yep, using SHA-1 for it.
